The Immigration Department fees for a 500 Student visa are:

$1600 for the main applicant

$1190 for an additional applicant over 18

$390 for an additional applicant under 18

How long will the visa take to be processed?

Basic Requirements

  • Be enrolled in an accredited course and provide a Confirmation of Enrolment letter.

  • Be over the age of 6, and make welfare arrangements if under 18 years of age.

  • Arrange overseas health cover.

  • Conduct a health check.

  • Have enough money to support your stay.

  • Obtain an Australian police check.

  • Study English unless you have an approved English test score proving you have competent English unless you are exempt.

How long will the visa take to be processed?

Basic Requirements

  • Have held a student visa in the last 6 months.

  • Be 35 years of age or under.

  • Arrange overseas health insurance.

  • Conduct a health check.

  • Have a qualification specified on the Skilled Occupation List.

  • Have a skill assessment in your nominated occupation (depends on the occupation and stream)

  • Obtain an Australian police check.

  • Have a competent level of English.
